There are times you step into a restaurant and immediately sense that something unique awaits. And in a dining scene that’s currently robust, but also often derivative and lazy in menu conception and ambience, Eve Fremont’s originality in both areas is refreshing. And with most of the lauded openings happening on Capitol Hill and in Ballard these days, a jaunt to Fremont was likewise an appreciated diversion.
